“This internship opened my eyes to non-profits and how non-profits are provided funding, a concept that I did not know much about before. I worked on the HeadStart budget narrative, which gave me insight into the volunteer world and how important it is for organizations like HeadStart to not only receive monetary donations but also time in volunteering” – Cole K. ‘ 24 (Finance) Education Data Analysis Intern with Head Start
“One of my biggest accomplishments was hosting the first open studio hours! I got to work with approximately 20 children which was very exciting, and I have a new understanding that art crosses the language barrier. Even though I wasn't able to verbally communicate with some of the kids that walked in, we we're still able to work together and learn through art!” - Maanasa S. ’27 (Psychology) Community Art Intern with Grove Christian Outreach Center
These funded internships are made possible through the generous support of The William & Mary Parents Fund and other private donors. The program is coordinated by Elizabeth Miller.
