Bicycle Removal for Summer 2020

Summary

Our designated bicycle storage site at One Tribe Place has been under construction for the past year and will not be returned to us until mid to late August therefore we are not able to provide summer storage service for summer 2020.

Full Description

Per campus policy, bicycles should be removed from bicycle racks when students move out from campus residence halls. We ask those who can please do so.

This summer students unable to return for move-out, or due to space limitations are unable to take, store, or remove their bikes may be able to leave them in place until fall.

For returning students  - As long as the bike is registered it can remain on its current rack on campus.

If the bicycle is not registered, then please visit https://forms.wm.edu/form/view/14670 to complete the online registration form for the bike.

  • Email us at Parked@wm.edu the location of the bike so that we can locate it and place the corresponding registration sticker on it.

Given the lack of notice prior to adoption of our current response to COVID-19 we do not intend to do a round up or impound collection at this time.

In the event we do need to access a bicycle rack to replace, repair, or relocate it, we will contact the registered owners of the bikes involved. If necessary the bike may be removed without penalty to the owners. Unregistered bikes will be removed and set aside for 120 days, if unclaimed at the end of this period they will then be disposed of. Except under emergency conditions we will do our best to notify you ahead of time of this need.

Donate your bike.

If you no longer want your bike, are leaving W&M, or graduating and wish to donate your bike to the W&M Bike Alliance, Email Transport@wm.edu, provide location of the bike, your Bike Regsitration #, Banner ID, and brief description of the bike so that we can remove it and make space for incoming bikes in the fall.
