Processes, Policies & Forms
Space Request Form
A space request form is required to allocate new space or in cases of significant reallocations or reassignments. You can send your requests using the University Space Request Form (pdf) to ressp@wm.edu. The Committee for Space Management will review all requests. There is a sample request (pdf) available with guidelines to help you. The committee will check if your request fits the criteria set by the Executive Committee for Space Management or if it falls under the Academic and Research Planning Committee, then decide whether to consider it further.

Policies
One Office Policy
It is the policy of the Provost that only one office is allocated to an individual and multiple offices are not permissible. Options for working in multiple venues include:
- Hot Desking: Workspaces are completely unassigned; staff occupy them on
a first-come, first-served basis at the start of each workday. - Hoteling: Workers reserve a space in advance to use temporarily on days they
will be in the office. - Shelf Space: Workers assigned a space or desk with storage for multiple office use on campus without permanently assigned multiple Offices.
Lease Agreements
All questions and negotiations about leases on behalf of a department should be directed to the William & Mary Real Estate Foundation Executive Director, [[slhall01,Logan Hall]].
