Important Updates

  • Need Advising? We've got you Covered!

The beginning of the semester is one of our busiest times at the Advising Center, so appointment availability for academic and fellowship advising will be more limited than usual. If you need academic advising support, we encourage you to take advantage of our expanded drop-in hours below. For fellowship advising, please contact Lara Kusnetzky (lkusnetzky@wm.edu) directly for assistance and scheduling support. We appreciate your patience and look forward to connecting with you!

  • Drop-In Hours Changed for 3/26

Drop in hours are shifted for Thursday, March 26 to 2:30-4:30 p.m. due to an all-staff meeting. Feel free to stop by during that time for advising support before cart-building!

  • FAQ Fridays

Check out our Instagram story every Friday during the fall semester for our new FAQ (Frequent Advising Questions) Fridays! We'll provide some quick advising answers on common topics and questions each week. Find us @wmadvisingcenter.

  • We've Moved!

The Advising Center (formerly the OUAA) has moved from Blow Memorial Hall to the second floor of Ewell Hall.

  • Important Registration Update -End of Waitlist 8/23

Updates for continuing students regarding registration, the end of waitlists and the final fall 2024 add/drop period. See the email sent on 8/8/24 to all undergraduate students.

  • Waitlists have Ended: Next Steps

Waitlists have concluded to make the most seats available to students during the final add/drop period, reduce classes missed at the start of the semester, and to gain more flexibility to respond to student needs at the start of the semester.

  • Is a National Fellowship for you?

The Advising Center supports student (and, in some cases, recent alumni) applications to a selection of competitive awards. These awards take the form of scholarships or fellowships and are configured in various ways, depending on the goals of the grantor institution. We have a whole system in place to help you navigate and complete the application process successfully.
