Business School host screening of “Confidence Game”

The William and Mary School of Business is hosting a screening of the new documentary film “Confidence Game,” which examines the downfall of the investment bank known as Bear Stearns, on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Brinkley Commons Room at the Mason School of Business Alan B. Miller Hall. The event is free and open to the public.  Doors open at 7 p.m.

Filmmaker Nick Verbitsky will be on hand to join the public to watch the film. Afterward, Verbitsky will join finance professor John Merrick, economics professor Till Schreiber and law professor Eric Kades for a question and answer session on the film and the impact of the final week of Bear Stearns before the financial collapse of 2008.

The screening is co-sponsored by the Mason School of Business, William and Mary’s Law School and Economics Department. Miller Hall is located at 101 Ukrop Way on the campus of William and Mary.
