Tribe men's soccer ranked fifth in latest NCAA RPI

After running its unbeaten streak to six matches and improving its record to 9-2-1 on the season, the William and Mary Tribe men’s soccer team continued to move up in the national polls, highlighted by the College’s #5-ranking in the NCAA’s latest RPI rankings.

After posting wins over Wake Forest and VCU this week, the Tribe moved up three spots in the RPI rankings this week to fifth, the highest the College has ever been ranked in the RPI. Led by William and Mary, the CAA has a strong presence in latest RPI, with six teams from the Colonial Athletic Association garnering a spot in the top-60.

In the Top Drawer Soccer Rankings, the College moved up six spots to #14, the highest mark for the Green and Gold this season. In the College Soccer News poll, W&M is the only ranked CAA team, coming in at #26.

In the NSCAA/HendrickCars.com poll, the College sits just outside the top-25, receiving the second-most number of votes. In the NSCAA South Atlantic regional rankings, the College is the highest ranked CAA team, coming in just behind nationally ranked #3 Maryland and #8 Virginia. The Tribe is also receiving votes in the Soccer Times poll, coming in just outside the top-25 at #26.

The #14-ranked William and Mary Tribe men’s soccer team will return to action on Wednesday, October 20 when the College will travel to face James Madison. Kickoff in Harrisonburg is scheduled for 7 p.m.
