Dr. Buffington earned her PhD in Anthropology from the Ohio State University. Her research focuses on environmental archaeology and computational methods for studying socio-ecological systems, particularly of pastoralists. She previously taught introductory and advanced anthropology courses, and she will likely teach classes on environmental anthropology at William & Mary.
