Interviews for High School Seniors
Put your personality into your application... literally.
Paper applications are two-dimensional. Interviews allow you the opportunity to make your application three-dimensional. Interviews are offered in the summer for rising high school seniors and in the fall for current high school seniors. The interview is an optional component to the application, and the absence of an interview will in no way be a disadvantage in the application process.
Interviews are entirely optional. Please note, less than 20% of our applicants have an opportunity interview. The absence of an interview will in no way harm or hinder your application. Additionally, given our busy travel schedules and limited staff we are unable to offer any additional interviews with staff members. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Summer Interview Schedule
Interviews are offered weekdays beginning June 10 and continuing through August 16 (with the exception of June 19 and July 4).
On-Campus Interviews are offered Monday through Friday at 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm and 4:00pm.
Virtual Interviews are offered on select Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 10:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm, 4:00pm and 5:00pm.
Fall Interview Schedule
Registration for fall interviews will be available in September. Fall interviews will be offered mid-September through mid-November on a limited basis.
Fall interview appointments are extremely limited. We encourage students to interview during the summer when more appointments are available. All students who wish to interview and to apply Early Decision I should interview prior to the November 1 application deadline.
Interview Waitlist Protocol
Interviews are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. If a particular interview appointment is full, you will have the option of adding yourself to the event waitlist. As cancellations arise, those on the waitlist will be automatically added to the appointment for which they are currently on the waitlist. An automated email will be sent to notify you that you have been removed from the waitlist and confirmed for the appointment.

Join an interview conducted by one of our William & Mary Senior Interviewers. Our interviews are intended to be casual and informative conversations that will last approximately 20-30 minutes and give you an opportunity to chat with a current W&M senior. No resume or portfolio needed!
