Favorite Spot

My favorite spot on campus is Lake Matoaka. I started coming to Lake Matoaka during my first semester on campus after my OAs took me here during orientation, and years later, I haven't stopped! I always point prospective students and families to check it out if they have time after campus tours because I think it is such a unique place to have on campus that not many visitors know about during their time here. Renting a kayak with a friend, taking a solo trail walk to immerse myself in nature, or attending a busy student event are some of my favorite ways to de-stress at William & Mary. Lake Matoaka has been a formative spot in my W&M experience, and I can't imagine my life here without this beautiful spot!
