About Me

I grew up in Akron, Ohio, and attended Ohio University, where I majored in Marketing. As an undergraduate, I found many ways to support my fellow students. I served as a Resident Assistant, Learning Community Leader, and Tour Guide, and worked at the front desk in the College of Business. Like many other students approaching their senior year, I was not sure how I wanted to use my degree after graduation. A mentor eventually encouraged me to consider a career in higher education, and I quickly realized that supporting students was where I belonged. I love helping students navigate their college journey and discover what they can achieve. I probably should not have been surprised, since my dad also works in higher education!

Why William & Mary?

What stood out to me about William & Mary is the sense of community. The university offers students opportunities to explore their interests, learn endlessly beyond the classroom, and build meaningful relationships with their professors and peers. I also appreciate the connection between the campus and the city of Williamsburg. I have been pleasantly surprised by how kind and collaborative the students are here. They genuinely want to see one another succeed, and kindness and support is felt through the entire campus community.

Why Admission?

I love working in admission because I want students to see what is possible through higher education. One of my favorite parts of the job is seeing a student have that “aha!” moment during a conversation or presentation. It is rewarding to watch students connect the dots between who they are, what they want to accomplish, and how a college or university can help them get there. Helping students recognize that they belong in higher education and can find a place where they will thrive is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

Fun Facts

I attended a performing arts school for vocal music as a child.
My family watched LeBron James play basketball in high school in the early 2000s.
I am a season ticket holder at the Altria Theater in Richmond, VA. If there is a show coming, I am probably going to see it (after a delicious dinner, of course)!
