Who Am I?

As a lifelong Williamsburg resident, I grew up immersed in the area's unique history and culture. As a member of the Colonial Williamsburg Fifes & Drums for eight years, I developed a lasting appreciation for both music and public engagement. I later earned my degree in Government from William & Mary, where a summer role in Undergraduate Admission inspired my passion for higher education and helping students navigate their academic journeys. Today, I continue to find fulfillment in supporting and empowering students as they pursue their goals.

Why Admission?

Admission and higher education were not originally part of my career plan during college. However, as I learned more about myself and what I valued in a profession, I realized that I wanted a career centered on connecting with and supporting people from all walks of life. My summer as a student intern in this office showed me that college admission is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students during an important chapter of their lives. It also gave me the chance to share all that makes William & Mary such a special place.

Why W&M?

My connection with William & Mary began long before I enrolled as a student. As someone who has always loved history, I thought it was incredible that students could walk the same paths as figures like Thomas Jefferson. While studying here, I learned that William & Mary's greatest strength lies not only in its history, but also in its people. The genuine support, collaboration, and sense of belonging that exist across campus create an environment where everyone can thrive. That experience stayed with me, which made the decision to return to William & Mary as a member of the staff an easy one.

Fun Facts:

  • I was born on William & Mary’s campus! The local hospital used to be where our School of Education is now.
  • I appeared on the Today Show when it was filmed in Williamsburg.
  • My favorite genre of music is classic rock, and I minored in music at W&M!
