Who Am I?

I grew up in Prince William County, Virginia on a ten-acre small farm! My family raises chickens, cattle, turkeys, sheep, and honeybees with the ultimate goal of regenerative agriculture. While at home, you can find me wrangling roosters, hanging out with the cows, and spending time with family. One of my favorite hobbies is photo scanning, something I began to learn more about my relatives. When I transferred to W&M, I decided I would recreate some of my grandfather's photos of buildings in Colonial Williamsburg. I had a blast finding the exact spots he stood in to get just the right angles of the colonial architecture. During my study abroad trip in Paris, France, I recreated some of the picture my grandfather took across the city from his trip in 1962. Alongside my own study abroad adventures, taking my grandfather's tour of Paris was an unforgettable experience. I graduated from William & Mary with a degree in history and am forever grateful for the many opportunities it has given me.

Why Admission?

As a student, I served as a tour guide, griffin ambassador, and worked at the front desk of Undergraduate Admission. The interactions I had with prospective students and their families were some of the highlights of my time at William & Mary. As an admission counselor, I get to help students navigate the college admission process and find their best fit along the way. Being at the beginning of students' college journeys is exciting, and it is rewarding to welcome people into the William & Mary community.

Why W&M?

I like to say I chose William & Mary twice! I toured campus in high school and fell in love, but I was not accepted. I went to a different four-year institution for my first year and worked hard to build upon my skills. I was accepted as a transfer student, but my reasons for saying "yes" to W&M had changed. The resources available to students are immense, and our community is unmatched. Above all else, W&M encourages you to set lofty goals while providing all the support you need to achieve them. I had the best three years at William & Mary, and I believe it is the best place to grow into the best version of yourself as a person and a student.

Fun Facts:

  1. In 2013, I starred in the Junior Nationals Kids' Club commercial. If you attended a Washington Nationals home game in 2013, you may have seen me on the scoreboard. Hello again!
  2. I earned a minor in Art & Art History! I found a deep interest in architectural history at W&M and took as many classes about it as I could. The freedom to explore interests outside my major led to a completely unexpected minor and a lot of joy! When I travel, I like to visit historic sites and landmarks - especially those I learned about in class.
  3. My go-to karaoke song is "This Town" by Niall Horan. Once a Directioner, always a Directioner!
