The Committee on Academic Affairs considers and makes recommendations on matters affecting educational policies, instructional faculty affairs and appointments, including academic tenure, executive appointments, and the academic organization of William & Mary, and advises the President of the university on matters of personnel policy in regard to members of the instructional faculty and other employees. The Committee meets on a regular basis with representatives of the faculties. The William & Mary faculty representative to the Board may serve as a non-voting advisory member of the Committee. The Provost staffs the Committee.
