Minoring in History

Students wishing to minor in history must declare their intention to the Department before the final semester of their senior year. A minor in history requires 18 semester credits in history, at least six hours of which must be taken at the 200-level and above. A minimum of 9 of the 18 credits needed for a minor in history must be earned at William and Mary, and no more than six of the remaining nine credits may be Advanced Placement (AP) credits.

Declaration of Minor forms are available here or outside the department office, James Blair 330. The form must be endorsed by the Director of Undergraduate Studies before being submitted to the Registrar's Office.
