Support Graduate Studies

Private Giving

Your contributions to W&M's graduate programs in Arts & Sciences help to prepare our future leaders, inventors, teachers, and scholars.

Gifts from alumni and friends are critical in meeting graduate student needs for research travel to field sites, museums, and archives, as well as conference travel to present original research discoveries.

Annual gifts and endowments can provide fellowships to attract and retain outstanding students in our graduate programs.

You can contribute online now with your credit card, using our secure web server. The contribution form will designate your gift to the fund for Graduate Studies in Arts & Sciences, every dollar of which is awarded directly to meet the needs of graduate students in Arts & Sciences, with examples below.

$100: laboratory experiment supplies or a day of research at a museum/archive
$400: professional conference travel support
$500: Graduate Research Symposium outstanding paper award
$1,000: travel to research site
$2,500: summer research fellowship
$5,000: visiting speaker series on career opportunities
$25,000:  dissertation completion fellowship
$50,000: endowment to support an annual recruitment fellowship

You can also support graduate students directly through our Recruitment Fellowships program. We thank you for your support.
