Anne Godfrey

Anne serves as Senior Director of Development for Interdisciplinary Initiatives, with primary responsibility for advancement efforts supporting the Global Research Institute. By partnering with alumni, donors, and university leadership, she helps secure investment in research and programs that bridge disciplines and connect scholarship with real-world impact.

Anne served previously as Director of Development at East Tennessee State University, where she raised over $5 million in support for the Colleges of Nursing and Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences. Anne’s earlier work at St. Catherine’s School in Richmond, VA, saw her lead annual giving efforts that broke institutional records for fundraising and donor participation. Anne holds a B.S. from Vanderbilt University and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from ETSU, where her studies focused on international philanthropy through a partnership with the University of Cambridge.
