Matt Elliott

Bio

Matt serves as the Associate Director for Finance & Operations with William & Mary’s Global Research Institute where he is responsible for the Institute's budget development, decisions, and controls as well as operations, ensuring adherence to university and state regulations. Matt assists in grant and gift management, in conjunction with W&M’s Office of Sponsored Programs. Matt previously served as a Financial Operations & Budget Specialist and Fiscal Team Lead with GRI.

Prior to working at GRI, Matt worked in multiple upper-level management roles. During this time, Matt held budgetary, operational, and human resources responsibilities. Matt also assisted with project management and helped prepare bid documents for RFPs/RFQs. Matt graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC and is currently pursuing his Masters of Business Administration at William & Mary.
