About Me

I have been an academic advisor for nearly eight years. Currently based in Virginia, where I have lived for the past three years, my journey began in Southern Indiana. I graduated from Ball State University with a B.A. in General Studies, focusing on the Psychology of Human Development, and furthered my education with an M.A. in Student Development Administration and Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University.

My career in education spans from working with preschoolers to college students. After nearly five years as an Academic Advisor at Ivy Tech Community College, I found my true passion in guiding students through their academic journeys. My role here at William & Mary allows me to experience the joy of seeing students grow, succeed, and flourish from their first orientation to their graduation day. I thrive on the ever-evolving challenges of working with new and transfer students, navigating new registration systems, and staying abreast of curriculum changes. My work is more than a job; it is a fulfilling vocation that I approach with enthusiasm and dedication.

Outside of my professional life, I like spending time with my husband of 14 years and two teenage boys. I enjoy attending sporting events, reading, baking, and cheering on those around me. I like to bring a sparkling personality and commitment to my family and career. My hope is to be an inspiring presence both at work and at home.
