Each year, the Undergraduate Admission Office hosts a number of special events to help students and their families explore the college community in creative ways and with more depth than our traditional campus visit allows. We hope you can join us for one of our annual programs—we look forward to meeting you!
Day for Admitted Students
Admitted students and their families are invited to attend our annual campus wide celebration of our newly admitted class! Attend topical information sessions, take part in our admitted student tour, meet with faculty in departmental chats and presentations, participate in a campus-wide activity fair, and get to know the Tribe. If you haven't yet decided that your college colors should be green and gold, this event will help you find answers to your lingering questions. The W&M community looks forward to getting to know you and hopes you'll join us for this fun and informative day.
Can't make it to our Day for Admitted Students? We understand, calendars fill up quickly. Our myWM can be yourWM events are designed to offer week day options to those admitted students and their families who desire to make a trip to Williamsburg in April but are not able to attend our marquis celebration. Ask questions of a student/faculty panel eat lunch in a campus dining facility and take part in our admitted student campus tour. We look forward to meeting you in person and serving as a resource as you make your final college choice.
Escape is an event for admitted multicultural students. Planned in tandem with our Day for Admitted Students, participants and their families have the opportunity to see performances by various multicultural groups and interact with current W&M students and campus community members. It's a great way to get to know the texture of the College's multicultural community.
Monroe Scholar Campus Visit Program
Admitted James Monroe Scholars and their families are invited to extend their visit to Williamsburg at the conclusion of our Day for Admitted Students. This event offers an introduction to the unique opportunities provided to those who are a part of this esteemed honors program. Hear from current Monroe Scholars regarding their research pursuits, take part in mock seminar discussions designed to replicate W&M's in-class experience and meet some of your future classmates! Evening entertainment will take place (for parents and for students) and we encourage families to plan an overnight stay in the immediate area. We look forward to meeting you in person!
