President Lutzer announced that the next order of business is for each committee, other than the Executive Committee, to elect its own chair. (The Executive Committee will be chaired by Bill O'Connell.) According to the Bylaws, Assembly officers may not chair Academic Affairs, Faculty Affairs, or Planning and Resources, but Lutzer asked the new officers to convene the committees on which they serve to arrange for election of the committee chair.

Even though the committees do not become official until July 1, Lutzer noted that it would be a good idea if the committees would convene and elect their chairs before mid-May so that they can be up and running early in the fall.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:14 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Roger Baldwin
Secretary
