Ashley Huang ’24

Ashley Huang believes anyone can be a significant contributor to their community, no matter how small their actions may feel or appear. Known for bringing enthusiasm and passion to her workAshley received the 2022 President’s Award for Service to the Community. Her engagement in numerous communities has created opportunities for people to tell their own stories and build connections, while also promoting their health, well-being and growth.

Ashley has dedicated significant time as an English language tutor, an emergency medical technician, and an equine therapy volunteer. She was heavily involved in planning and executing activities at the Chinese Language House at W&M, including cultural mixers to unite and lift up Chinese Language House hallmates as well as their Landrum Hall neighbors in the Arabic and Japanese language houses. Ashley also applies her interest in videography to promote the organizations she volunteers for and to amplify the voices of those involved, including W&M University Human Resources, the Williamsburg Fire Department (where she also volunteers as an EMT), and Literacy for Life at W&M's School of Education.
