Technology & Business Center
The Technology and Business Center at the College of William and Mary links companies to W&M resources throughout the university. We are particularly interested in helping technology and other knowledge-based companies. We want to make it easy to get access to faculty who are interested in collaborative research and consulting. We know that every case is unique. We are flexible. We are open to innovative ways to work together.
We have links to all technologies at William and Mary and we have particularly strong connections to our Schools of Business and Public Policy. We work closely with the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) and the VIMS-Industry Partnership Committee.
We can also assist in connecting your company to university and government research throughout the region. We actively support the Hampton Roads Research Partnership and we have excellent connections throughout Hampton Roads, particularly in the areas of sensors, modeling and simulation, and bioscience. Our primary funding support comes from the U.S. Department of Commerce through Economic Development Agency grants in support of the Hampton Roads Research Partnership. We have also received funding from the Center for Innovative Technologies (CIT), the Crossroads Group, the City of Williamsburg EDA, James City County, the City of Portsmouth, and client donations. BB&T Bank provides funding for student interns. We look forward to the chance to work with you!
