W&M Tribe Card

Connecting campus through a one card system.

Your W&M student ID, also known as your Student Tribe Card, is your official form of university identification - and makes it easy for you to access goods and services all over campus. It serves as your meal plan card, library card, and facility access card to residence halls, Student Recreation Center, the Student Health Center, academic buildings, campus bus transportation and athletic events.

Tribe Cards Display Preferred Name

Your Tribe Card will display the Preferred/Chosen Name provided to the university through the Admission process or submitted within your Personal Information Questionnaire (PIQ), whichever is most recent. If you prefer to have your Legal First Name displayed on your Tribe Card, do not enter a Preferred Name - or - remove that information from the Preferred Name box within your PIQ.

To receive a Tribe Card, you must submit a Tribe Card photo beginning July 1!
The online submission process is mandatory. Return to this page July 1 to access the submission portal. To receive a Tribe card, both your Tribe Card Photo and Photo ID must be submitted through the portal for Identity Verification. If your photo is accepted and identity verified, your card will be available for pick-up during your orientation program.
Pick Up Your Tribe Card

New Student Tribe Cards will be delivered during New Student Orientation, or during your Pre-Orientation Program. New undergraduate student cards are not available prior to the orientation program.
