Nestled in the Colonial Capital of Virginia are the “homes away from home” for over 5,000 members of the William and Mary Tribe. Aside from convenience to classes, labs, Swem Library, the Sadler Center, the Rec Center, Zable Stadium, the Sunken Garden and an unending list of events and activities; living on campus provides you with the opportunity to surround yourself with exceptionally smart, fun, gifted and occasionally annoying (just like home!) people who share and support your goal of academic success. Through our variety of living options and 160+ trained and talented student staff we display our fervent devotion to the Tribe by working to make your living experience safe, secure and comfortable. Together we strive to create an atmosphere that encourages and nurtures friendships and belonging and allows you to learn, develop, explore and find your place in the William and Mary community. Remember though, what you get out of your living experiences depends just as much on you as it does on us and your hall-mates.
There are several foundational documents that help formulate Residence Life’s objectives, policies and practices. Foremost among these are our Mission, Vision, Goals, and our commitment to diversity. We look forward to helping you and your hall-mates with the day to day joys and challenges of living on campus.
