Special pricing is available for W&M faculty and staff who wish to use institutional dollars or grant funds to purchase computers from Dell. IT will assist with purchasing any of our currently Standard models (Standard Models are our standard lease models), just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our Technician will contact you.
If a department is interested in purchasing a non-standard model, please proceed to RequestIT and fill out the Technology Procurement Review form. An IT Technician will contact you and work to design a system that meets all of your needs. With your purchase, you will need to buy two software licenses. First, the Upgrade the Windows 7 Operating System to Windows 7 Enterprise license, at a cost of $65.00, is needed to permit the computer to run Windows 7 Enterprise. Second, you will need Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2010 at a cost of $90.00.
The Tribe Computer Store can help departments purchase an Apple computer. Pricing and ordering details please contact the Tribe Computer Store . All Apple computers purchased with institutional dollars or grant funds will need to be purchased with 3 year AppleCare with auto-enroll. Those purchasing an Apple who would like to run Microsoft Office or other Windows products will need to purchase software through RequestIT.
Departments who desire to purchase a computer from another manufacturer please proceed to RequestIT and complete the Technology Procurement Review form. Departments will be required to justify why a non-standard manufacturer is necessary.
