About Carlos

Dr. Pinkerton has previously served in various impactful roles within the Texas A&M University System RELLIS Academic Alliance. Dr. Pinkerton oversaw a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including student activities, student conduct, new student and family programs, and student leadership and development.

Dr. Pinkerton has also accumulated valuable experience in advancement, Fraternity & Sorority Life, and Residence Life at The Ohio State University, University of Toledo, and Texas A&M University. 

Dr. Pinkerton's unwavering dedication centers on nurturing student growth and ensuring their successful journey through college. His research pursuits are primarily focused on illuminating the experiences of Black male administrators, exploring college and university shared governance dynamics, and analyzing the impact of politics on higher education decision-making processes.

Dr. Pinkerton holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic Communications from The Ohio State University and furthered his academic journey by earning a Master of Education from The University of Toledo. He received his Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M University. Dr. Pinkerton likes to eat wings, pizza, and tacos. He also loves being active in the community and spending time with his friends.
