Weather message

The Emergency Management Team sent the following message to the campus community on March 3 - Ed.

Dear Campus Community –

The National Weather Service is predicting the potential for a mix of snow and rain in the Hampton Roads area overnight and into tomorrow morning. The current forecast calls for one to three inches of snow accumulation in our area. The exact timing and mix of precipitation remains uncertain.

William & Mary’s Emergency Management Team, public safety and other administrative personnel are monitoring weather conditions. While we do not anticipate cancelling classes Friday, supervisors and department heads are reminded to allow liberal leave for employees who cannot travel safely from home to campus. We also ask that faculty recognize that students may have difficulty getting to campus in the morning.

If any changes to the normal schedule are necessary due to weather we will communicate that through the mass notification system, local media, and the university's website at http://www.wm.edu

Sam Jones,

Chair, Emergency Management Team
