About the Program

The Raymond A. Mason School of Business encourages you to combine academic interests with career goals. You can design a personalized course of study in accounting, business analytics, finance or marketing. In addition to selecting a major, you can complete a concentration (an additional six credits). Many students find opportunities to combine their business studies with a major or minor in the Arts & Sciences, from economics to biology to history.

    Participate in DoG Street to Wall Street, Rocket Pitch or the Startup Ecosystem Excursions to gain experience and network.

  • Global Opportunities

    Enhance your college experience by combining business classes with cultural studies and studying abroad.

  • Individual Program of Study (IPS)

    Customize your business study with a major, minor or a concentration to fit your career goals.

  • Integrated Foundation Semester

    Business majors are required to take Business Perspectives and Applications (BUAD 300), Principles of Marketing (BUAD 311), Financial Management (BUAD 323), Computer Skills for Business (BUAD 330) and Introduction to Business Analytics (BUAD 350).*

That's why the Mason School of Business is proud to report a 96% job or graduate school placement rate within three months of graduation with over 650 unique employers recruiting students and posting about positions in their companies. Many alumni go on to work in industries including finance, consulting, accounting and marketing. 

Alumni Spotlight

Co-founder of the Boehly Center for Excellence in Finance, Todd Boehly is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, businessman and investor. He graduated with a degree in finance in 1997. In addition to business and finance, Todd is passionate about William & Mary Athletics. He contributed an episode to the Leadership & Business podcast titled "Leadership, Business and Baseball."
