Background

Eun Young Kim specializes in comparative political economy, with a primary interest in wealth inequality and representation. Her research investigates the impact of wealth inequality on the behavior of different political actors such as parties, legislators, and voters. She uses diverse computational tools, such as machine learning for text analysis and geospatial analysis. Before joining William & Mary, she completed her Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh. She also holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Michigan. Previously, she served for the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Korean Delegation to the OECD in France. She also was a consultant at the UN-APCICT in Korea and researched foreign aid at the Asia Foundation in Malaysia.
