This club was organized to meet the needs of not only Biology majors but all students with an interest in Biology. It meets once a week and hosts guests as well as faculty speakers. This group's purpose is to increase the academic and practical knowledge of the participants with regard to all forms of botanical life, to provide a forum for the discussion of and care for all manner of plants, and to assist the W&M community as well as the greater Williamsburg community with landscaping and other horticultural needs. The Biology Department is eager to support veterans interested in pursuing a degree in the biological sciences. In 2007, the Veterans Society of William & Mary was formed to assist as a social and support network for veterans, and has since been involved in community service, raising veteran awareness on campus, lobbying efforts, and advocating on behalf of student veterans.
