The Senior Vice President for Finance & Administration makes recommendations to the President and Provost regarding allocation of university resources, and has authority to transact business in the name of the College of William & Mary. He is responsible for the development and administration of the College budget. In addition, the Office coordinates development of operating budget initiatives submitted to the Commonwealth of Virginia and the integration of all budget development activities into the overall planning activities of the College.
The Senior Vice President also provides leadership, planning and coordination to the College's administrative operations to develop and maintain optimal support of the College's mission and goals. As a member of the President's senior staff, he participates in College-wide strategic planning and works with the Provost to develop the College budget.
The Senior Vice President has direct oversight of the areas of Planning and Evaluation, Financial Operations, Investment Administration, James Monroe Highland as well as the Offices of Auxiliary Services, Police Department, Facilities Management, Human Resources and Procurement. The Finance & Administration staff provide direct support in the key areas of facilities and space planning, capital funding and budgeting, and risk management.
