NCSAM Week 1 - October 2, 2023

Using simple, easy to guess passwords puts your account at risk from brute force password attacks.

When creating or changing to a new password, consider a complex but easy to remember password such as a favorite lyric, poem or line from a play!  Be sure to include numbers and special characters to represent letters or numbers to ensure passwords meet complexity requirments.  Although W&M continues to move our services to single sign-on we recognize some individuals struggle with remembering too many passwords.  Please reach out to us as we explore options for addressing this critical need.

In addition, remember to use different passwords for different accounts. One of the leading causes of unauthorized access to accounts is the reuse of login information obtained from other breached sites.
