About Jenelle

Jenelle assumed the role of Director of Title IX and Civil Rights Compliance in the Office of Compliance & Equity in December 2023 and serves as the institution’s Title IX Coordinator. A strong advocate for party support and due process, Jenelle oversees the Discrimination and Title IX processes for students, employees, and visitors including direct support for formal and mandatory reporting, supportive measures, resolution options, and investigation as well as development and implementation of educational programming and prevention efforts in collaboration with campus partners.

Born and raised in Canada, Jenelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Psychology from Concordia University (Montréal) and a Master of Education in Psychological Studies in Education and Doctor of Philosophy in School and Clinical Child Psychology from the University of Alberta (Edmonton) with specialization in developmental psychopathology, psychological, risk, and threat assessment, school-based prevention and intervention, and program evaluation. Committed to the care of survivors of sexual trauma, Jenelle has received specialty training in Civil Rights Investigation and Title IX Coordination as well as certification as as a Clinical Trauma Specialist in the areas of family trauma, traumatic stress among individual adults, sex-trafficking and exploitation, and trauma and addiction, and Sexual Assault Victim Advocate with an emphasis on vulnerable and disability populations. Additionally, Jenelle is licensed as a Specialist in School Psychology in the State of Texas where she provided school- and community-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and families with the Dallas Independent School District and Youth and Family Centers.

With over 12 years’ experience in education and clinical community settings, Jenelle has dedicated her career to student care, advocacy, and well-being with deliberate action toward the creation of respectful, inclusive spaces and protection of vulnerable persons. In preparation for her current role, Jenelle served as Title IX Coordinator and Clery Compliance Officer at University of the Southwest (New Mexico) and Senior Director of Title IX and Interim Director of Disability and Accessibility Services at Earlham College (Indiana). She has been privileged to serve in related roles including Campus Safety Task Force Chair, Mental Health Crisis Response Team Member, Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program Task Force Co-Facilitator, Green Dot Bystander Intervention Program Lead, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Implementation Team Member. In complement to her work in student services, Jenelle has enjoyed greatly her academic appointments, leading the undergraduate Psychology program at University of the Southwest and the Graduate Department of Clinical Psychology at the University of Indianapolis.
