Swearing in of W&M's 28th president

W&M Rector-Elect John E. Littel sent the following message to the university community June 22, 2018 - Ed.

Dear William & Mary Community,

On behalf of the William & Mary Board of Visitors, it is my pleasure to invite you to join us for the historic moment when Katherine A. Rowe is sworn in as our 28th president.

This brief ceremony will begin at noon on Monday, July 2, in the Great Hall of the Wren Building. Virginia Governor Ralph S. Northam will officiate the swearing in of Dr. Rowe. The event is open to the university community, though seating will be limited. We will also broadcast it live via the William & Mary website and Facebook page.

The Board unanimously elected Katherine Rowe in February to succeed President W. Taylor Reveley III, who is retiring June 30 after a decade leading the university.

I hope you can attend in person or watch live online as we celebrate this important occasion in the university’s long life.

Sincerely,

John E. Littel
Rector-Elect
William & Mary
