Scholarships and summer stipends for prospective teachers
William and Mary is dedicated to helping prospective teachers meet their goals. Students majoring in mathematics or the sciences are especially encouraged to explore the idea of teaching at the middle and high school levels. This site is dedicated to smoothing the path for those students interested in becoming mathematics and science teachers.
For Freshmen, Sophmores and Juniors
Teachers for a Competitive Tomorrow Internships - Students interested in exploring teaching careers get a taste of what those careers might be like through paid summer internships in an educational or research setting.
For Juniors, Seniors and Graduate Students
Noyce Scholars Program - Students who have declared their major and who are ready to commit to teaching mathematics or science are eligible to apply to this program. Noyce Scholars receive scholarship support as they earn certification as well as summer internship opportunities and avenues to additional financial assistance. Recipients commit to teaching at a high-need school district for two years within six years of their science teacher certification.
