Teaching

The Japanese Program regularly uses undergraduate Teaching Assistants for our first-year and second-year language classes. Interested students should contact [[txkato, Professor Tomoko Kato]]. All TAs will take MDLL 401: Internship/Practicum in Teaching Foreign Languages during their first semester of teaching.

The Japanese Program also has opportunities for students to work as TAs in content classes, such as Japanese Cinema. Responsibilities for TAs in these classes might include organizing and conducting screenings or assisting other students with the writing of posts for the course website, for example. Please contact Professor Michael Cronin if you are interested.
