International trade theory, trade policy, economic integration, political economy, and the economics of higher education
David Feldman received his A.B. from Kenyon college in 1978 and his M.A. (1980) and Ph.D. (1982) in economics from Duke University. He taught at Duke (1981-84) and at Colgate University (1984-89) before coming to William & Mary in the Fall of 1989. David's teaching interests include international economics and development economics, including the graduate trade course offered in public policy. His current research explores the political-economy of trade liberalization, economic integration, and election models. He is also working with Robert Archibald on higher education finance issues.
