Bio
Aidan is an M.A. student interested in Indigenous history in seventeenth-century New England and the Northeast, with a particular focus on Indigenous power, identity, and resistance in imperial borderlands. He graduated magna cum laude from George Washington University in 2019 with a B.A. in History and Religion, where he researched Indigenous resistance on Block Island from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century. His current research explores the role of language in Indigenous assertions of identity and sovereignty in Massachusetts. Aidan also serves as an editorial apprentice for the Omohundro Institute.
