Sergio Ferrarese's interests are operaismo and workers studies from Gramsci to the present day, literature, protest cultures in Italy in the 60s and 70s, the Enlightenment, history of intellectuals, critical theory, biopolitics, Fascism and Antifascism, Jewish culture in Italy, political issues in Italian culture. He has published on all the above subjects. He is currently working on a project on the impact of Fordism and Postfordism on Italian culture and society as well as on the Jewish presence in Italian Resistance.
