Geospatial Research Symposium 2019

Student Presentations: Allison Bowers (CGA Fellow) introduces the student presentations to a packed house! We had a total of six lightning talks from undergraduate and graduate students.
Student Presentations: Karina Nunez speaking about her PhD research that integrates GIS technology with hydrodynamic models.
Career Panel: Four W&M Alumni speak about their GIS career experiences and provide advice to students looking to get more involved in the field.
Networking Session: Students, faculty, and GIS Professionals mix and mingle following the student presentations and career panel.

We were pleased to host the 1st annual Geospatial Research Symposium on Friday, March 22nd. The event consisted of 6 lightning talks from W&M students, a career panel of GIS experts to have a relaxed Q&A with students, and an informal networking session for students, faculty, and various GIS practitioners to make connections.
