Areas of Specialization
Professor Swetnam-Burland teaches courses on Greek and Roman art and Archaeology. Her particular interests lie in painting, sculpture, the ancient city of Pompeii and the Roman cult of Isis and ancient 'Egyptomania'. Her current book project is 'Imagining Egypt: Roman art and the invention of the foreign."
