After establishing a course base of general educational requirements, students are eligible to declare a Psychology major at the end of their sophomore year. Regardless of a student's specific interests, the department's goal is to nurture the student’s overall intellectual development.
Psychology is one of the College’s most popular undergraduate majors, and each year about 150 students graduate with a degree in psychology. About half of our recent majors have gone on to study psychology, law, business, nursing, or an academic discipline at the master’s or doctoral level. With their broad exposure to all areas of psychology, our alumni succeed in many different careers.
