The Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences is committed to excellence in teaching and research across the spectrum of inquiry into human health and well-being. We examine and practice human health and movement at the (1) molecular and cellular level; (2) human body and behavioral level; and (3) population level, both locally and globally. We prepare scholars and practitioners  to integrate the many factors affecting human health and well-being, through experiences in classrooms, research laboratories, clinics, and communities.

The department offers a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Bachelor of Science degree with multiple paths for concentrations in health sciences, pre-medicine, and public health. The department is run by 10 academic faculty members and 3 activity faculty members supported by 2 staff members, in addition nearly one hundred of undergraduate majors.  We invite you to join us in our pursuit of excellence promoting physical activity and health.
