Women's Network

The Women’s Network does not collect dues but we need your support to help defray expenses and support programs. It is requested that each of us contribute $15 or more to the Women’s Network. You may send it to Ginger Ambler (Student Affairs) or Jeanne Wilson (Mason School of Business).

WELCOME!

The William & Mary Women’s Network are the women faculty members and women administrators at the College of William and Mary. We are loosely organized to support each other, help newcomers learn the ropes and the folkways of this special institution, socialize with each other, celebrate our successes and (occasionally) to advocate for each other when things get tough.

In recent years, the Women’s Network has provided information to the administration on issues relating to resources at the Campus Child Care Center, varsity athletics, the sexual harassment policy, the consensual amorous relationship policy, fringe benefit issues, salary equity, and partner/spousal hiring. We also sponsor a well-attended pre-tenure, pre-promotion workshop every other year or so. In addition, the Network hosts several informal gatherings each year at which W&M women can just meet and enjoy one another’s company!

Most importantly, we provide a forum in which women can meet and discuss their common interests and concerns. Let us know of ideas, suggestions, questions, or concerns that might be addressed by the Women’s Network. Please feel free to get in touch with either of us.
