Blackboard at W&M

At W&M, you can access Blackboard directly at the homepage or through myWM.

The College of William & Mary was an early adopter of the Blackboard instructional management software. Hundreds of our faculty members use Blackboard to provide their students easy access to a variety of course materials: syllabi, assignments, reserve readings, and links to authoritative sites on the Internet. Perhaps more exciting are the kinds of debate and discussion that Blackboard facilitates as a supplement to classroom interaction. On discussion boards, the virtual classroom, and through email, students and faculty use Blackboard to exchange ideas with one another.

Blackboard is also widely used by administrative units to provide a centralized resource for storing and distributing documents, managing external links, and maintaining a discussion board.

If you have questions about how to use Blackboard, then check out our detailed tutorials. We also maintain a current list of known issues that you might encounter in Blackboard 9, as well as ways to resolve those issues.
