Veterans Affairs Education Benefits
Veteran Affairs Education Programs administered by VA help to advance the education and skills of veterans and servicemembers as well as their spouses and family members. Some veterans might be eligible for more than one benefit or they will find that one program is more suited to certain education and training goals than another.

Joshua Barnett J.D. ’19 has been a member of the Army National Guard since 2007 and was among U.S. Army soldiers from the 114 Military Police Company deployed to Mosul, Iraq in 2009 to assist in training Iraqi police forces. Barnett recently decided to trade in his helmet and uniform for the chance to earn his law degree at William & Mary. -

Retired Air Force Col. Kurt Klingenberger, a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, is currently completing his doctorate in higher education at William & Mary's School of Education. He retired from the Air Force with nearly 30 years of service.
