The purpose of the Semester Research Funding Program is to assist students with expenses directly related to the conduct of research. Funding for the Program comes from two sources: the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and the Reves Center .
Semester Research Funding applications are accepted at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. The application deadline is one month after the first day of classes. (No applications will be reviewed during the summer due to budget timelines.) After the application deadline has passed, a committee will review all applications and decisions will be sent to students by the end of the second month of the semester.
Types of Funding
- Vice Provost Funding: Any continuing undergraduate or graduate student may apply for up to $500 from the Vice Provost fund. Applications from students conducting Honors research are especially encouraged.
- Reves Center Funding: The Reves Center awards of up to $750 are reserved for students who are conducting research abroad. Both undergraduate and graduate students from all schools encouraged to apply.
Please see the Semester Research Funding Guidelines for compete details and to apply.
NOTE: Students that receive Charles Center Summer Research Grants funding are not eligible to receive Semester Research Funding for the same project/same summer term.
