Beijing Normal University, in collaboration with the Institute of International Education, Stockholm University, offers an International MA program in Educational Leadership and Policy (Comparative Education). The program is focused on a series of contemporary educational topics that are relevant to all countries, especially developing nations. These include promoting educational equality, high quality education, education for sustainable development and ICT education. Based on the rich international resources of Beijing Normal University, it has a strong team of professors and faculty members, and aims to become a high quality and world-class international program. Applications for 2013 are now available!
This program will enroll 25 international students in 2013 with generous financial support from the Chinese Government. Approximately 60% of the top international students will be awarded a full Chinese Government Scholarship covering their tuition fees and living expenses for two years. Other students will also have an opportunity to earn a Beijing Government Scholarship which will cover tuition for at least 1 year.
This program is a 2-year teaching and research program, modeled on the core-course system of the Institute of International Education, Stockholm University, which has proven effective for over 30 years. It allows students to fully develop their academic capacities and provides students with qualifications, skills and competencies to apply for Ph.D. programs in comparative education at Beijing Normal University and elsewhere.
Please notice that the DEADLINE FOR CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP is Mar. 1st, 2013, and applicants’ materials should arrive at Office of International Students & Scholars Affairs, Beijing Normal University before Mar. 1, 2013. No application will be considered after that date.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, meaning admission decisions will be made as soon as the review process is complete. The earlier applicants send their materials, the better the chance to receive a full scholarship.
