On December 12th, WMCI was honored to host the Minzu University student art troupe. They dazzled us with performances of traditional songs and dances from a variety of ethnic groups!

This summer, Carrie Cooper, dean of university libraries, represented William & Mary as a judge on the "Star of Outlook English Talent Competition," the largest, most influential English-speaking competition in China.

WMCI hosted two events to celebrate Global Confucius Institute Day: the Erhu Solo Concert and the lecture "Civic Engagement of the Middle Class in China: Survey Findings and Implications," given by BNU's Professor Xinsong Wang. We hope everyone involved had a great time and learned more about China!

The Confucius Institute at William & Mary recently completed its annual Chinese Culture Summer Camp for eight lucky youngsters.

WMCI hosted the 2017 World Taiji and Qigong Day on April 15, bringing together members of the Williamsburg and Hampton Roads communities to practice and appreciate these ancient martial arts.

Jesse Appell, Fulbright Scholar and intercultural comedian, came to William & Mary to discuss his experience performing comedy abroad.
