Summary

Dr. Keith Bell will teach the underlying theories of Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. We will also discuss Chinese Medicine's role in the development of the field of Integrative Medicine.

Full Description

For thousands of years the Chinese have studied plants and herbs. Over the centuries they developed powerful and complex herbal formulas that can be used to help restore or maintain health. In this lecture students will learn the underlying theories of Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. Chinese Medicine's role in the development of the field of Integrative Medicine will also be discussed. A reception will follow the lecture in the Reves Room. This event is free and open to the public!

 Dr. R. Keith Bell has spent over 20 years studying and practicing the healing arts and Oriental medicine. In 2000, Dr. Keith opened Oriental Medicine Specialists, the first medical clinic in Richmond to offer the full scope of Oriental medicine, including acupuncture and Chinese herbology.
